multiplex VR – prototype

NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC)
October 22, 2021
This work explores how the world is perceived beyond visual and auditory recognition through the experience of "being moved" and "moving the body."
Participants sit in an inertia chair and wear an HMD (Head-Mounted Display) for VR (Virtual Reality) , allowing them to experience mixed reality through the sensations of acceleration, vibration, and gravity as they move through space. By combining the inertia chair and HMD with advanced filming techniques, this work invites viewers to reflect on the relationship between bodily perception and the world through the viewing experience. It also examines how human senses should evolve in response to a modern information society that overly prioritizes visual and auditory information.
