This music video for “Terminal Slam” blended Diminished Reality and Mixed Reality techniques to create a subversive world where all the ads around the city are deleted or replaced with content related to the artist Squarepusher.
On a conceptual level, the work explores Daito Manabe's prediction that people may indeed soon be able to “rewrite” their cityscapes using AR/MR glasses, perhaps similar to those depicted in the video.
