Digital and Creative Talent Development Project – Support for Emerging Art Talent
Rhizomatiks launched Flying Tokyo 2024 as part of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s initiative to foster talent in digital and artistic creation (Digital and Creative Talent Development Project – Support for Emerging Art Talent).
Through a rigorous selection process, five emerging creators in the fields of audiovisual and media performance were chosen to participate in the seven-month program starting in June 2024. They engaged in lectures and international study sessions with artists, curators, and producers invited from Japan and abroad, gaining opportunities to develop and present new works.
Throughout the program, a team of eight mentors—including curators, programmers, artists, and creative directors—provided continuous support, guiding the participants through the creative and conceptual process. For detailed information about the program and reports from each lecture, please visit:
