A light installation featuring glowing balls that float, blink, and create ethereal afterimages in the air. The installation consists of numerous blinking balls that move along a figure-eight-shaped track. In the original 2011 version, the balls were equipped with built-in LEDs. In 2021, for Rhizomatiks’ solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, the installation was upgraded to include precise tracking of the balls’ positions with lasers. The balls, emitting light at various intervals, created diverse shapes in the air, achieving a unique and three-dimensional visual expression.
