Rhizomatiks participated in the short documentary film [The Art of Progress], a project that tracks the emotional responses of people driving the Audi EV e-tron GT, and was responsible for data analysis, as well as the planning, supervision, and production of the artwork.
The brainwaves of fashion designer Yuima Nakazato were measured while driving on a racetrack. Additionally, data on his heart rate, perspiration, and facial expressions were combined to analyze his emotional responses.
Using the obtained data, Rhizomatiks created a ring-shaped sculpture measuring 2 meters in length and weighing 200 kg. A red laser line moving over the sculpture is synchronized with the video installation playing in the background, indicating which parts of the sculpture correspond to the actual locations driven.
