This is the first collaborative work between Ryuichi Sakamoto and Daito Manabe. The piece senses and visualizes electromagnetic waves, which are normally imperceptible to humans, making them both visible and audible. While electromagnetic waves are an essential part of modern infrastructure, they often go unnoticed in daily life. This work brings these waves to the forefront in various forms, and simultaneously visualizes a kind of ‘ecosystem’ that is formed as individuals actively engage with the invisible territorial distribution of frequency bands assigned to broadcasters and carriers.
